OUR PUPPIES
Our dams and sires have excellent health and are AKC registered. We raise traditional, sable, chocolate and parti yorkies. Our puppies are estimated to go home between eight (8) and ten (10) weeks. Our goal is to provide you with a healthy, happy puppy. Your puppy comes with paperwork for AKC registration, vaccinations, docked tails and dewclaw removals. These services are performed by our licensed vet. Your puppy goes home with a puppy-care package filled with essentials; such as some puppy food, blanket with their litter’s smell, puppy pads, toys and care folder with medical records.

Our dogs have the run of our home, inside and out, and of course our lives. Our whelping area is in the front bedroom of our home. After five (5) weeks, mom and babies are moved into our great room to expose them to various noises and sounds to begin socialization. They get constant hugs, belly rubs and playtime. This helps the puppies to be well rounded when they leave to go to your home. We introduce them to potty training around five (5) weeks. We place them on washable pee pads when they first wake up from naps and about thirty (30) minutes after they eat. By the time our puppies are placed with their “fur”ever home they have a great start to being house trained.

Yorkies love to lay in your lap, on your shoulder, in your bed and on the furniture. While they are hypoallergenic and do not shed, they do require grooming on a consistent basis to keep them well-manicured. Brush and comb them daily to reduce mats in their fur. Rub their feet when you are holding them to get them used to having their paws groomed and nails trimmed. We keep all of ours with a puppy cut. It is so much easier to maintain but there are a lot of cute cuts for Yorkies. Always use a harness with leash for your Yorkie when you take them on walks. Their little throats are small and can be damaged if you use a collar and leash.
Your puppy’s health and safety is our number one priority.

Visitation Policy:
The first question we get asked is, “Can we come see the Puppies”? Unfortunately, the answer is NO. Young puppies immune systems are fragile and are susceptible to life threatening illnesses such as parvo, pneumonia, kennel cough, etc. Diseases can be carried on people’s clothing, hands, shoes, etc. and live for years in the soil, carpet, dog parks, training facilities and kennels. Due to this, we must adhere to a strict No Visitation Policy. Of course you want to meet your new puppy before picking him or her up. We will provide pictures, via text message or messenger and videos; as well as Facetime or Duo calls with you as often as possible. We want you to experience all aspects of their growth spurts and feel like you are watching them grow from birth until when you take your puppy home. You can follow us on our Thomas Valley Yorkies facebook page and our website: tvryorkies.com.
Pick Up Policy:
Our puppies go home between eight (8) and ten (10) weeks. Due to so many factors in our world now, we do not allow anyone to come to our home to pick up their puppy. This is for the safety of all. We will meet in a public place, decided prior to pick up. If your puppy cannot be picked up on your scheduled day and time, there will be a $25 per day boarding fee.
Deposit and Homing Process
We require our future puppy owners to fill out the application on our website. Upon review of your application, we will then reach out to you for your deposit. Deposits are the only way you can reserve your puppy to ensure you get the puppy you want. Our deposits are non-refundable (unless something happens to the puppy while in our care); they do, however, go towards the purchase price of your puppy. Sales tax will be added to all Texas sales!
For pre-litter reservations, we require a $100 non-refundable deposit to go on our wait list for the sex wanted. Once the litter is born, if the sex you have requested is produced, then you pay the additional $400 to complete your $500 deposit. If there are several pre-litter deposits, you will be able to pick your sex in the order we receive your remaining $400 toward the $500 deposit. If you wait to pay your $500 deposit until after the litter is born, then you will be able to pick once the pre-litter deposit customers have picked. Should you pick a puppy that is charting 4 pounds or smaller, there will be an additional $500 fee added to the price of the puppy. Breeders cannot guarantee adult weight of your puppy.

Our puppies do not leave for their new homes before eight (8) to ten (10) weeks. They leave with a puppy “go home” bag filled with a couple of toys; a blanket (with the scents of the mother and siblings); a container of the food they are on; Honey Nut Cheerios; pee pads; and a packet of information. The packet of information includes the puppies shot record; a health verification from our veterinarian; AKC paperwork; information on hypoglycemia; potty training tips; a birth certificate and weight record for the first eight weeks of the puppy’s life. The new owners will receive weekly pictures and videos until the puppy leaves. I am available 24-7 to our puppy owners.
